Pi Beta Phi and Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae have hosted the Annual Design Inspirations event for 23 years and I look forward to being a part of their beautiful event year after year. “Cheers” was our table theme this year and represented the new Spirits by Sedona Division. The eight guests seated at the table were excited to actually sit at our custom designed, handmade raw edge walnut bar tables. The barstools were the perfect height and the ladies enjoyed the atmosphere we created with our uplighting and pinspots.
The décor was pulled together from the recent trip to Market this winter. The decorative pieces were beautifully positioned with each detail accounted for. We had gold bar back shelves delivered and arranged with glassware, bartending books and pretties perfectly placed on the shelves to create the feeling that you were in a quaint bar or your best friend’s home. We topped off the event by serving the ladies hand crafted Pimm’s Cups with a lovely garnish in a gold rimmed glass.
2oz Pimm’s No.1 liqueur
.75oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
.25oz simple syrup (2:1)
2 dashes Peychaud bitters
Into a shaker, put a handful of seasonal fruit, the above ingredients, and fill to the top with ice. Shake hard for 10 seconds. Pour directly into a 14-16 oz glass with a narrow mouth. Top with Fever Tree Bitter Lemon Soda. Garnish with preferred seasonal herb.
